Job summary

The Bergaila Companies is seeking an experienced Lead Analyzer / Measurement Specialist for a major LNG facility in Sabine Pass, Texas. The role supports process control, environmental compliance, LNG quality, and natural gas custody transfer with ABB analyzers and metering systems.

This 12+ month assignment offers 40 hours per week on a 4/10 schedule, with typical hours 5:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. or 6:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., and potential overtime up to 10 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting ABB process analyzers and gas chromatographs.
• Practical experience with natural gas custody transfer or fiscal metering systems.
• Experience maintaining and calibrating Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems.
• Relevant experience in LNG, natural gas processing, pipelines, refining, or petrochemical operations.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, troubleshoot instrument signals, use calibration equipment, and work safely under permit-to-work and LOTO procedures.
• Typically 3-7 years of relevant analyzer, instrumentation, or metering experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair process analyzers, gas chromatographs, CEMS, and custody transfer measurement equipment.
• Maintain and validate ABB analyzer systems, sample conditioning systems, calibration gases, and associated infrastructure.
• Support ultrasonic, orifice, Coriolis, and other metering technologies, including flow computers and LNG measurement systems.
• Perform meter proving, calibration, meter factor verification, measurement checks, and related documentation.
• Conduct CEMS zero/span checks, calibration checks, troubleshooting, and compliance documentation.
• Troubleshoot 4-20 mA, HART, Modbus, DCS, PLC, SCADA, and other applicable signals and interfaces.
• Read P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Follow permit-to-work, LOTO, hazardous-area, environmental, and process safety requirements.Coordinate with operations, engineering, maintenance, electrical, automation, and metering teams to improve reliability and minimize downtime.
