Job summary

Lutheran Senior Services in Webster Groves, MO, is seeking a DOT Chauffeur to drive the community van or bus (16+ passengers), assisting residents with activities and transportation, and delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include transporting residents, assisting with boarding, securing wheelchairs, maintaining the vehicle, coordinating with staff for events, and possibly handling mail and supplies.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class C passenger endorsement.
• DOT compliant physical required.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Experience as a bus/van driver preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides a high level of customer service while transporting residents to and from activities, appointments and other outings.
• Assists residents with boarding, seating, seat belts, walkers, and mobility devices during transit.
• Maintains vehicle by fueling, basic maintenance, and ensuring cleanliness.
• Coordinates transportation for events, activities, and appointments as needed.
• May pick-up/deliver mail, supplies, equipment, and parcels for residents and staff.
• Completes daily Driver Activity and Vehicle Reports as required.
