Job summary

Cedarbrook Senior Living is seeking a responsible van driver to transport residents within the community according to the schedule. The role involves assisting passengers, securing wheelchairs, and communicating with base stations via radio to ensure timely, safe trips.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid chauffeur’s license (CDL preferred). Experience in customer service, especially in senior living, is desired.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Chauffer’s license required. CDL preferred, but not required.
• Experience in customer service environment, preferably in a senior living setting.

Responsibilities

• Drives vehicle from community area to destination according to assigned schedule.
• Assists disabled passengers into and out of vehicle.
• Secures passengers’ wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip.
• Operates radio or similar device to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report disruption of service.
• Cleans and services vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Meets all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.
• Dependable and able to meet schedule requirements (attendance and punctuality) with no restrictions.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
