Job summary

Oakmont Management Group is seeking a Driver to operate community vehicles safely during outings and events. You will assist residents in boarding vehicles and ensure secure transportation within the community, following all driving laws and safety standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork with staff, proper vehicle inspections, and active participation in activity outings. A Class B/C license with Passenger Endorsement is required, with background checks and health screenings part of the process.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have Class B or C license with Passenger Endorsement to drive the bus.
• Prefer two years of experience driving a vehicle transporting people.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• Vaccination/testing and PPE might be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Operate community vehicles safely on outings, excursions, special activities, and personal resident appointments.
• Assist with the safe loading of residents and their belongings onto and off of community vehicles.
• Follow all state and federal laws when operating community vehicles.
• Comply with standards and processes for proper vehicle inspection and driving; demonstrate safe driving.
• Act as a member of the activity staff when on outings/excursions and within the community.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
