Job summary

Avamere at Hermiston in Hermiston, Oregon, is seeking a Server for a memory care, assisted living and/or independent living community. The role involves taking and delivering orders, serving meals, maintaining dining room cleanliness, and providing attentive service to residents in a warm, welcoming environment.

The position runs Wednesday through Saturday, 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with a wage of $16.00–$18.00 hourly DOE.

Qualifications

• Food safety and sanitation knowledge typically gained on the job.
• Strong customer service and communication with residents and guests.
• Personal hygiene standards and hair containment.
• Interpersonal skills to work with residents and departments.
• Ability to operate kitchen/dining equipment with care.
• CPR/First Aid certification during employment.
• Active Food Handlers card required by local health dept.
• Knowledge of dietary practices and related laws for facilities.
• Friendly, attentive, professional demeanor with residents and guests.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.

Responsibilities

• Record and deliver meal and beverage orders accurately.
• Deliver meals promptly and courteously, presenting items attractively.
• Provide attentive service and check residents’ needs during meals.
• Set up dining room and maintain cleanliness before, during, and after service.
• Clear and reset tables for next service.
• Take and deliver room service orders to residents’ apartments.
• Be knowledgeable about menu and dietary needs; answer questions.
• Interact professionally with residents and guests.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Collaborate with wait staff and kitchen for smooth service.
• Dispose of food waste per policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
