Job summary

Avamere Skilled Advisors, LLC d/b/a Avamere Living in Hermiston, OR is seeking a Server to provide high-quality dining service in a memory care and assisted living setting. You will take orders, serve meals, set up and clear tables, and ensure residents have a pleasant dining experience.

The role requires friendly, professional interaction with residents, adherence to food safety practices, and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of high standards of food service sanitation and safety on-the-job.
• Maintain high personal hygiene and hair control.
• Interpersonal skills to relate with residents and staff.
• Ability to operate basic kitchen equipment.
• CPR/First Aid certification during employment.
• Food Handlers card issued by local Health Department.
• Knowledge of dietary practices and hospital/nursing home rules.

Responsibilities

• Record and deliver meal and beverage orders accurately.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly and attractively.
• Provide attentive, friendly service and address resident needs.
• Set up dining room before meals and maintain cleanliness.
• Clear and reset tables after meals.
• Take and deliver room service orders to residents’ apartments.
• Answer questions about food and dietary needs.
• Interact with residents and guests professionally and warmly.
• Follow food safety, storage, and sanitation procedures.
• Collaborate with wait staff and kitchen staff for smooth service.
• Dispose of food and waste per policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
