Job summary

Stellar Senior Living in Tucson, AZ is seeking a diligent Security Guard to maintain a safe, respectful environment for residents and staff. You will patrol the facility, monitor access, respond to incidents, and document events with clear notes.

The role offers full-time hours and a chance to join a growing team dedicated to quality senior care. Ideal candidates have a GED, strong communication and observation skills, and prior security experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Ability to communicate verbally and in written form and cooperate effectively with others
• Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position
• Trained security officer with diploma
• Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
• Surveillance skills with orientation to detail
• Integrity and professionalism

Responsibilities

• Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
• Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
• Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property
• Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences and develop reports for use by leadership
• Report in detail (verbally and in written form) any suspicious incidents
• Patrol building and perimeter randomly and regularly
• Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates
• Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment
