Job summary

Sedgebrook Senior Living is seeking a Security Officer to maintain a safe environment for residents, visitors and staff. The role includes patrols, incident reporting, and supporting gatehouse operations, with compensation of $18.00 per hour plus $0.25 shift differential.

The position is Full-Time and Part-Time, 2nd shift (2:45 PM – 10:45 PM), non-exempt. Sedgebrook offers a generous benefits package and opportunities for growth in a welcoming, team-oriented community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One to three years of customer service experience required.
• Previous security experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled internal and external security patrols to protect residents and property.
• Conduct continuous patrols of property and facilities.
• Respond promptly to fire alarms and emergency calls.
• Complete daily rounds and incident reports.
• Document incidents including accidents, theft, fires, and violations of rules and regulations.
• Supports gatehouse operations, including logging visitors, residents and employees.
• Direct traffic on campus when necessary.
• Maintain a professional and calm presence during all situations.
