Job summary

Sedgebrook Senior Living is seeking a hospitality-focused Security Officer to maintain a safe environment for residents, visitors, staff and campus property. The role requires vigilance and adherence to safety protocols.

This is primarily a 2nd shift position (2:45 PM - 10:45 PM) with full-time/part-time status, offering $18.00 per hour plus a $0.25 shift differential and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One to three years of customer service experience required.
• Previous security experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled internal and external security to maintain a secure environment for residents and community property.
• Conduct continuous patrols of property and facilities.
• Respond promptly to fire alarms and emergency calls.
• Complete daily rounds and incident reports.
• Document incidents including accidents, theft, fires, serious mechanical malfunctions, emergency responses, and violations of rules and regulations.
• Supports gatehouse operations as needed, including logging visitors, residents and employees.
• Direct traffic on campus when necessary.
• Maintain a professional and calm presence during all situations.
