Job summary

Milestone Retirement Communities is seeking a Regional Director of Operations to oversee a portfolio of assisted living, memory care, and independent living communities in a multi-state region (CA, CO, OR, WA, OK, MN). The role is field-based with a home office and requires extensive travel (70–90%).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or closely related field.
• Five to seven years of progressive leadership in senior living or long-term care, including multi-site regional operations management.
• Experience leading Executive Directors or community Administrators with measurable occupancy, quality, and financial results.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Executive Directors in the region through coaching, reviews, and visits.
• Own occupancy, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and resident/family experience.
• Maintain survey readiness and manage regulatory responses and improvements.
• Drive census growth and workforce stability through collaboration with Sales and HR leadership.
• Partner with enterprise leadership and escalate critical issues as needed.
