RHF (Retirement Housing Foundation) seeks a Property Maintenance Technician for Mac Arthur Park Towers in Los Angeles, CA. This full-time, non-exempt role covers building upkeep, apartment turnovers, and preventative maintenance to keep a safe, welcoming community for residents.

Responsibilities include building and grounds maintenance, inspections, work order management, and after-hours availability. The position emphasizes reliability, teamwork, and ongoing safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in the building maintenance field.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and endure standing for long periods.
• Basic English communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain interior and exterior of the buildings and property, perform daily janitorial duties.
• Complete apartment turnovers within 3 days of move-out.
• Perform painting and preventative maintenance tasks per schedule.
• Assist with inspections of apartments, buildings, and systems.
• Respond to and complete work orders; document work in OneSite.
• Respond to maintenance emergencies, including after-hours and weekends.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and appliance issues.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure work completion.
• Maintain safety and compliance with regulations.
• Provide responsive service to residents, staff, and vendors.
• Keep shop and storage areas organized and secure.
• Maintain property keys and monitor security.
