Job summary

Bickford Senior Living is hiring a Prep Cook to support the culinary team in a restaurant-style dining experience called the “Bread Basket.” The role includes meal preparation, timely serving, resident interaction, and adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.

You will follow menus and processes, wash dishes, maintain cleanliness, and coordinate with the Kitchen Manager for tours and events. Both full-time and part-time options with benefits are available, depending on status.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals following Bickford’s menus, processes, and expectations.
• Serve food timely, at correct temperatures, and appropriately plated.
• Ensure Kitchen Daily Task Guide is followed during service.
• Interact with residents in the Dining Room to enhance their dining experience.
• Wash dishes, pots, and pans according to procedure.
• Follow the Kitchen Daily Task Guide and dishwashing procedures.
• Use Meal Order Information to follow diets, allergies, and preferences.
• Maintain food service records per regulatory requirements.
• Store food per regulatory requirements and policies.
• Complete tasks from the Kitchen Rotational Cleaning Schedule.
• Maintain kitchen and dining room cleanliness to meet standards.
• Stock Bistro/Beverage Bar with appropriate refreshments.
• Coordinate with Kitchen Manager for tours and events.
