Job summary

Bickford Senior Living is seeking a Prep Cook to support our culinary team in serving residents in a restaurant-style dining setting called the “Bread Basket.” You will prepare meals, plate dishes, and ensure timely service while maintaining safety and cleanliness in a care-focused environment.

You will interact with residents to enhance their dining experience, follow menus and dietary guidelines, and assist with dishwashing and kitchen tasks as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals following Bickford’s menus, processes, and expectations.
• Serve food timely, at the correct temperatures, and appropriately plated.
• Ensure kitchen processes are followed during meal service.
• Interact with residents in the Dining Room during meals to enhance their dining experience.
• Wash dishes, pots, and pans according to Bickford’s procedures.
• Follow the Kitchen Daily Task Guide and policies.
• Maintain records of diets, allergies, and preferences.
• Store food per regulatory requirements and policies.
• Complete tasks from the Kitchen Rotational Cleaning Schedule.
• Keep kitchen and dining area clean to meet regulatory and company standards.
• Stock Bistro/Beverage Bar with appropriate refreshments.
• Coordinate with Kitchen Manager for tours and events.
