Job summary

Covenant Living in Golden Valley, MN seeks a Baker or Pastry Chef to oversee daily bakery production for residents in a senior living environment. You will follow standardized recipes, prepare breads, cakes, pastries, and desserts, and manage inventory and scheduling with safety and quality in mind.

The role requires a high school diploma, a Food Handler’s Permit, ServSafe training, and knowledge of kitchen equipment to support resident nutrition and dietary needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required and relevant food service training.
• Current Food Handler’s Permit and sanitation certifications preferred.
• Experience in a senior living or healthcare food service environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breads, cakes, pastries, pies, cookies and other baked goods following standardized recipes.
• Order ingredients, manage supplies, and coordinate baking schedules.
• Maintain sanitation standards and comply with regulations.
• Decorate products and assess quality of raw materials before baking.
• Assist with allergy-friendly meal preparation and resident dietary needs.
