Cedarbrook Senior Living in Bloomfield Hills, MI, is seeking a dynamic Pastry Cook to join our kitchen team. You will handle all aspects of dessert preparation, baking from scratch in high volume, and presentation.

Responsibilities include following recipes, maintaining clean stations, stocking supplies, and supporting the Executive Chef while ensuring food safety and quality.

We value teamwork, calm under pressure, and attention to detail; ServSafe certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience creating desserts and baked goods in large volumes.
• Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife skills.
• ServSafe certifications preferred.

Responsabilités

• Performs all aspects of dessert preparation, cooking, and presentation.
• Prepares dessert items in a sanitary and timely manner, stocks stations, uses batch cooking with logs.
• Follows recipes, portion controls and presentation specs set by the Executive Chef.
• Restocks items and maintains inventory; completes order sheets.
• Cleans and maintains station, adheres to safety and sanitation policies.
• Assists with washing pots, pans, and other tasks; participates in daily lineup meetings.
• Follows local, state, and government food-safety guidelines; adheres to PPE rules.
• Works calmly under pressure and in a team, with strong communication and attention to detail.
• Produces high-quality work efficiently; shows problem-solving capability.
