Job summary

Covenant Living of Colorado is seeking a Baker/Pastry Chef to oversee the creation of breads, cakes and desserts for residents in a senior living environment.

You will manage recipes, order ingredients, and coordinate baking schedules while maintaining high sanitation and compliance with state and federal standards. The role requires attention to detail, ability to work with limited supervision, and a compassionate approach to residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Current Food Handler’s Permit is required.
• ServSafe training is beneficial.
• State sanitation certificate is required.
• 4+ years of related baking/food service experience.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation - manage supplies and inventory levels.
• Decorate baked products with glaze and toppings.
• Assess raw materials quality before baking.
• Develop recipes and plan production for special diets.
• Follow safety, sanitation and regulatory standards.
• Prepare foods using a variety of kitchen equipment.
