Job summary

Parallel Management Group in Southeast Michigan is hiring a Regional Director of Operations to oversee our senior living communities. You’ll partner with community leadership to ensure compliance, audits, training, and on-the-ground problem-solving, with hands-on experience in running a senior living operation.

Responsibilities include budget monitoring, regulatory compliance, audits, policy implementation, staff leadership, and occupancy growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years managing licensed HFA (Home for the Aged) or AFC (Adult Foster Care) communities in Michigan.
• 4+ years of operations experience in healthcare.
• A track record in sales or occupancy growth.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and the urgency to see issues through to resolution.
• Strong computer skills; experience with Yardi preferred.
• Ability to travel locally, with occasional overnights.

Responsibilities

• Monitor each community's budget, clinical services, and regulatory compliance.
• Run regular audits, and implement corporate directives and programs.
• Ensure buildings are in good working order and that community needs are resolved quickly.
• Spot risks and opportunities across the region and build action plans.
• Lead the regional operations team and direct the regional office support staff.
• Recruit, hire, develop, and keep high-performing community leaders through training and accountability.
• Oversee employee relations and help resolve staff conflicts.
• Create new corporate and community programs, and grow the ones we have.
• Write and update policies and procedures for the communities.
• Represent Parallel at industry meetings and promote our communities through local involvement.
