Cedarhurst Living seeks a Director of Nursing to provide strategic leadership and oversee clinical operations for the community in Owensboro, KY. You will manage nurses, CNAs, medication staff, and support teams to deliver person-centered care aligned with state and federal standards.

Responsibilities include developing policies, ensuring compliance, supervising medications, and engaging with families and surveyors. Strong leadership and EHR proficiency are essential.

Competenze

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and an active state license (LPN or RN).
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Experience in person-centered care for seniors; dementia experience preferred.
• Experience in a similar senior living or healthcare setting preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems.

• Oversee delivery of quality care in compliance with care plans and assessments.
• Develop nursing services objectives and procedures aligned with regulations.
• Maintain safe working environment and prevent accidents.
• Provide nursing coverage and assist as needed.
• Assess residents for appropriate levels of care with urgency.
• Manage nursing and care staff and communicate health information.
• Supervise medications for self-administering residents if applicable.
• Oversee pharmacy and community relationships, ensure timely deliveries.
• Document updates to resident files and participate in interdisciplinary meetings.
• Hire, train, evaluate, and retain a high-performing care team.
• Lead service plan meetings with residents and families.
• Communicate with surveyors during IDPH surveys and assist with corrections.
• Implement ISPs per Cedarhurst policies and state regulations.
• Maintain infection control policies and CLIA waiver compliance.
• Manage inventory and orders for nursing supplies.
• Engage in occupancy initiatives while prioritizing resident well-being.
• Promote resident well-being and independence wherever possible.
• Respect residents' Advance Directives and wishes.
• Ensure effective communication with families about residents' care.
• Collaborate with management and engage in conflict resolution as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
