Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living seeks a Director of Nursing to lead clinical operations across the community, ensuring high‑quality, person‑centered care. You will oversee nurses, CNAs, and staff, align services with regulatory standards, and partner with families to implement individualized care plans.

The role requires strategic clinical leadership, staff development, and continuous quality improvement, with on‑site management and active engagement during IDPH surveys and regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a current, active state license as an RN or LPN.
• Minimum 3 years nursing experience preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Experience in preadmission assessments and staff education is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of quality care in compliance with care plans and assessments.
• Develop nursing service objectives and procedures in line with regulations.
• Maintain safe working environment and prevent accidents.
• Provide nursing coverage and assistance when needed.
• Interview, hire, train, supervise, and retain a high‑performing care team.
