Job summary

Artis Senior Living in Eatontown, NJ is seeking a Medication Technician to join our care team. The role supports residents with daily living activities and administers prescribed medications.

This position offers a 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) with every other weekend required and starting pay of $25 per hour. The successful candidate will hold CMA certification, a high school diploma or equivalent, and be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid as needed.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• CMA certificate required.
• CNA, Caregiver, or Home Health Aide certification preferred but not required.
• Fulfill and maintain continuing education credits as required by State.
• Willingness to obtain/maintain First Aid/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Administer and record medications for residents as prescribed by physician and in accordance with policies and state/federal regulations.
• Observe, document and communicate changes in resident status related to medications to nurses/administration.
• Monitor medications and ensure accountability during ordering, receiving, administering and shift changes.
• Store medications safely according to policies and regulations.
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, toileting, ambulation, grooming and eating per service plan.
