Job summary

Artis Senior Living is seeking a Medication Technician for a full-time 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) in Eatontown, NJ. Starting pay is $25/hour, with every other weekend required. You will administer medications, observe and document resident status changes, and ensure safe medication handling in a dementia care setting.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent; RN/DON supervision is provided. First Aid/CPR certification may be required; CNA or related certs are preferred but not

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Registered Medication Partner (RMP) certificate preferred.
• CNA, Caregiver, or Home Health Aide certification preferred, but not required.
• Fulfill and maintain continuing education credits as required by State.
• Willingness to obtain and/or maintain current First Aid/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Administer and record the administration of medications for residents as prescribed by the physician in accordance with established policies and procedures and applicable state/federal regulations.
• Observe, document, and communicate changes in resident status to nurses and/or administration that could relate to medication interactions, adverse drug reactions or side effects.
• Monitor medications to ensure accountability when ordered, received, administered and at change of shift per policies and regulations.
• Store medications safely and accurately per policies and regulations.
• Inspect, clean and monitor equipment and supplies to ensure resident safety; report issues to the Licensed Nurse.
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, toileting, ambulation, grooming, and eating; assist with transportation to dining and programs; help with household chores.
• May provide transportation to medical appointments outside the community with pre-approved authorization.
• Answer resident call signals promptly; offer comfort and support.
• Respond to emergency calls and environmental hazards promptly and safely.
• Follow policies on safety, attendance, timeliness, and resident service; maintain confidentiality.
• Adhere to Infection Prevention, OSHA, fire and safety regulations.
• Perform all other duties as requested.
