Job summary

Artis Senior Living in Yorktown, NY is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician to join our compassionate care team. You will administer medications, document changes, and collaborate with nurses to support resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Registered Medication Partner (RMP) certificate preferred.
• CNA, Caregiver, or Home Health Aide certification is preferred, but not required.
• Fulfill and maintain continuing education credits as required by State.
• Must be willing to obtain and/or maintain current First Aid/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Administer and record medications as prescribed by the physician following policies and state/federal regulations.
• Observe, document, and communicate changes in resident status related to medications.
• Monitor medications for accountability at order, receipt, administration and shift changes.
• Store medications safely in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Inspect, clean and monitor equipment to ensure resident safety and report issues to licensed staff.
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, toileting, ambulation, grooming and dining.
• May provide transportation to medical appointments with pre-approved authorization.
• Answer resident call signals promptly and provide comfort and support.
• Respond to emergency calls and environmental hazards promptly.
• Observe safety, confidentiality, and infection prevention policies at all times.
• Perform other duties as requested.
