Job summary

Ovation by Avamere is seeking a dedicated Medication Tech to administer medications and provide direct care to residents at Ovation Sienna Hills in Washington, UT. Shifts include Day, Evening and Nights.

You will pass medications, document in EMR, monitor for side effects, coordinate with nurses and healthcare providers, and assist with medical appointments while upholding facility policies and resident safety. Experience in memory care and a friendly, professional demeanor are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Caregiver and Medication Tech in a Memory Care Unit and/or Assisted Living Facility.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification during employment.
• Ability to obtain a Food Handler’s Card.
• Experience in electronic medical records documentation.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents and guests.

Responsibilities

• Pass medications according to physician orders and in accordance with facility policy.
• Administer accurately and timely.
• Record medications administered in the resident’s record.
• Notify the pharmacy (or family when applicable) when medications need to be refilled.
• Maintain a clean and organized medication cart and medication room.
• Monitor and report any side effects of medications to the Director of Health Services.
• Complete accident and incident reports in a timely manner and according to facility policy.
• Perform delegated nursing services as assigned by the RN.
