Job summary

The Addison of McCullough Place in Johnstown, PA seeks a Medication Technician to supervise self-administered medications in an Assisted Living setting. You will ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and company guidelines while supporting residents’ daily care needs.

Responsibilities include medication counting, ordering, MAR verification, and nursing support tasks. Strong English skills and basic computer know-how are required; prior senior living experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• 1+ month of experience; senior living preferred.
• Current Medication Technician certification depending on state regulations.
• English proficiency required to perform duties and communicate with staff.
• Basic computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Supervise self-administered medication in the Assisted Living Department with adherence to regulations.
• Count and sign narcotics with approved personnel before accepting keys; report discrepancies.
• Order medications and treatments; notify when supply drops below 7 days.
• Notify supervisor when supply is under 2 days and not received.
• Verify all medicines against MAR; report discrepancies to pharmacy/DHW.
