Job summary

TerraBella Senior Living in Gallatin, TN is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our community team. You’ll perform maintenance and housekeeping duties, address service requests, and help keep our grounds, buildings, and equipment safe and well-maintained for residents and staff.

The successful candidate has at least two years of maintenance experience, is on-call when needed, and can handle multiple priorities with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Two-year maintenance experience required.
• On-call availability as needed.
• Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems and code compliance.
• Familiarity with OSHA, fire prevention, life and safety regulations.
• Ability to respond to emergency calls outside scheduled hours.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organizational and time-management abilities.
• Good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and housekeeping duties in and around the community grounds as assigned.
• Performs routine maintenance duties to complete all service requests for repair and maintenance of all grounds, buildings, apartment homes, equipment and vehicles in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
• Routine maintenance duties may include: fixing wall and/or floor coverings; repairing furniture and fixtures; performing basic plumbing work; performing minor electrical repairs; repairing appliances; painting and refurbishing projects, working with heating and air systems, refrigeration systems, carpet and hard surface maintenance and 'make ready' rooms as assigned.
