Sodalis Senior Living in Texas is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for building and grounds upkeep, preventive maintenance, and safety compliance to ensure a comfortable living environment for residents. You will perform repairs, supervise contractors, maintain fire drills, coordinate move-ins, and support other departments.

• Maintenance and repairs of physical structures per policy.
• Maintains Life/Safety and preventive maintenance binders.
• Adheres to OSHA, EPA, MSDS and NFPA regulations.
• Performs preventive maintenance to keep buildings operable and in good condition.
• Paints and performs repairs or oversees contractors to keep buildings attractive and safe.
• Assists residents with move-ins/move-outs and belongings.
• Participates in fire, tornado and other drills and maintains emergency kit.
• Knows locations of shutoff valves and marks them.
• Cares for grounds maintenance: mowing, trimming, pruning.
• Cleans buildings: buffing, sweeping, mopping, etc.
• Inspects HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems and coordinates with contractors.
• Performs general repairs and repainting.
• Assists other departments and handles moving and stocking supplies.
• Maintains unoccupied rooms after vacancy and makes them attractive for rental.
• Available to residents for periodic maintenance and completes work orders within 24 hours.
• Inspects electrical appliances for safety at move-in.
• On-call emergency availability.
• Familiar with fire evacuation policy and participates in drills.
• Maintains confidentiality of residents’ information.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsabilidades

• Perform maintenance and repairs of buildings and grounds.
• Execute preventive maintenance in accordance with procedures.
• Paint and repair building interiors/exteriors or supervise contractors.
• Assist residents with move-ins/move-outs and setup.
• Conduct fire, tornado and disaster drills as required.
• Maintain emergency kits and safety signage.
• Oversee grounds maintenance: mowing, trimming and cleanup.
• Inspect and service HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Coordinate with contractors for major repairs and rebuilds.
• Requisition tools, equipment and supplies when needed.
• Ensure unoccupied rooms are repainted/recarpeted within 7 days of vacancy.
• Respond to resident maintenance requests within 24 hours.
• Escort safety checks at move-in and ensure appliance safety.
• Be available for on-call emergencies outside business hours.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents’ information.
