Job summary

The Village on Morehead, an Independent Living senior community operated by The Aspenwood Company, seeks a compassionate Maintenance Assistant to join our team. This part-time role offers weekend and holiday availability and a pay rate of $23–$28 per hour.

You will complete maintenance work orders, assist with projects, supervise contractors, perform basic trades, and help keep resident areas safe and welcoming. A High School Diploma or GED and 1–2 years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of related experience preferred.
• Experience with painting, drywall, and general unit make-ready tasks.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Complete all assigned maintenance work orders and prepare vacant resident rooms.
• Coordinate and assist with special projects as directed.
• Monitor work performed by outside contractors to ensure quality.
• Be available for 24-hour emergency maintenance on-call duties.
