Job summary

The Aspenwood Company - The Village on Morehead in Charlotte, NC is seeking cooks who are passionate about creating delicious meals for seniors in our independent living community. This is a full-time or part-time role with weekend and holiday availability.

You will prepare a variety of meals, follow dietary guidelines, keep the kitchen clean, and assist in training new staff. We offer 401K with match, PTO, healthcare, and more benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; culinary training is a plus.
• Accredited food handler certification within 60 days per state guidelines.
• 6 months to 1 year of proven cook experience.
• Knowledge of cooking procedures (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.).
• Ability to follow sanitation procedures and maintain hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of meals from recipes.
• Adhere to dietary needs and restrictions for seniors.
• Monitor food quality, temperature, and presentation.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and proper equipment operation.
• Assist in training new kitchen staff.
• Monitor stock levels and place orders with supervisor.
• Follow nutrition guidelines and company policies.
