Job summary

Proctor Place in Peoria, IL is seeking a Maintenance/Facilities Technician for a senior living community. The role focuses on keeping plumbing, carpentry and electrical systems safe, functional and comfortable for residents.

You will perform routine maintenance, respond to requests, maintain records, and assist with installations. On-call responsibilities apply; strong safety awareness and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in basic plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work.
• HVAC certification a plus
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to maintenance tasks
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, and standing for extended periods
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs in plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems throughout the facility
• Conduct inspections to identify and address maintenance issues proactively
• Assist with installation, replacement, and repair of fixtures, appliances, and equipment
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and work orders
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or residents
• Assist in general facility upkeep to ensure a safe and comfortable environment
