Job summary

A leading housing organization in Peoria, Illinois is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the upkeep of properties through effective maintenance and responsiveness to service requests. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of maintenance experience and a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems. Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in the maintenance field.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
• Skilled in using hand and power tools for repair and maintenance tasks.
• Must frequently lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.
• Basic proficiency in English for effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the appearance of the buildings and property.
• Complete unit turnovers within 3 days of move-out.
• Perform painting duties and execute preventative maintenance tasks.
• Respond to work orders for units and common areas.
• Address maintenance emergencies after hours as needed.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
