Job summary

Carillon Senior Living is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to maintain all aspects of the physical plant in Lubbock, TX. The role involves preventive maintenance, repairs, and assisting residents with daily needs, under supervision. We offer competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, and at least one year of maintenance experience. Strong communication and a solid understanding of construction practices are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED required.
• Some Technical Schooling and/or background preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience in building construction and/or maintenance.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• Skilled in the use of all appropriate machinery, tools, and construction supplies.
• Understanding of general construction and engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of the physical plant.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, routine servicing, seasonal repairs and changes.
• Fix wall covers, floor covers, some furniture and fixtures; light plumbing work, minor electrical repair and appliance repairs.
• Complete assigned work orders daily.
• Paint and refurbish projects as directed by supervisor.
• Install locks, create keys, re-key cylinders, and track outstanding keys for entire campus.
• Troubleshoot and install PERS call system.
• Install phone, cable, and network lines.
• Test, fix, install, and replace appliances.
• Troubleshoot heating and cooling systems.
• Help residents with daily non-health care needs.
