Job summary

Seneca Place in Verona, PA is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support daily upkeep, safety, and operation of the building and grounds for our senior residents. The role covers routine maintenance requests, system troubleshooting, and preventative tasks to ensure regulatory compliance and resident comfort.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in building maintenance with strong plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry knowledge, plus the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in general building maintenance or related trades.
• Experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality property management preferred.
• Solid knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
• Ability to stand long, climb ladders, fit in tight spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Strong interpersonal skills and customer service when interacting with residents.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• General Repairs & Troubleshooting: basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, tiling, and painting.
• Work Orders: respond to resident requests promptly and professionally.
• Building Systems: monitor and assist with HVAC, lighting, alarms, and general system checks.
• Preventative Maintenance: follow the maintenance calendar to ensure safety and longevity of equipment.
• Safety & Compliance: keep walkways and common areas safe and assist in drills and weather-related protocols.
