Job summary

Cardinal Ritter Senior Services, a ministry of the Archdiocese of Saint Louis, seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and ongoing maintenance, including custodial care, to keep buildings safe and well‑maintained. The role supports a mission‑driven senior services environment.

The technician will inspect, repair, and service various systems, coordinate with the Maintenance Department, and ensure timely responses to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial and maintenance with some skilled trades.
• Ability to read and follow directions and prioritize work.
• Capable of lifting up to 80 lbs and working in a team or independently.
• Experience with work order systems and routine safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Daily inspect buildings and grounds to identify repair needs.
• Perform painting, drywall, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and carpentry repairs.
• Service HVAC and PTAC units and keep records of work orders.
• Oversee or escort outside contractors, inspect building systems as needed.
• Maintain landscaping, walkways, and general site upkeep.
• Respond to safety, security issues and emergencies promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop and inventory of parts and tools.
• Support biannual and special maintenance projects with supervisor.
