Job summary

Lifespace Communities in Geneva, IL is seeking a Maintenance team member to perform assigned maintenance duties, routine preventive tasks, and refurbishment work. You will maintain tools and equipment, ensure timely completion within the budget and priorities set by supervision, and operate a range of maintenance tools and vehicles.

Required are a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of building maintenance experience, and any state certifications or licenses to operate or repair

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational or technical education preferred.
• Certification, license or equivalent as required to operate/repair equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned maintenance duties and routine preventive maintenance.
• Maintain all tools, equipment, and supplies in proper condition, and notify supervisors to ensure replacements.
• Assist with refurbishment projects and repairs.
• Complete work within scheduled time frame, according to budget and priority set by supervisor.
• Install, finish, repair, paint, remove and dispose of drywall or other material.
• Pick up and deliver supplies.
• Operate maintenance equipment not limited to hand or power tools, company vehicles, or snow blowers.

Education
