Job summary

Lifespace Communities is seeking a Maintenance team member in Geneva, IL to perform maintenance duties and routine preventive tasks for our residents. You will ensure tools and equipment are well maintained and assist with refurbishment projects, while meeting schedule and budget priorities.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of building maintenance experience, and relevant licenses or certifications. A valid state driver’s license is also required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical education preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience in building maintenance or construction.
• Certification, license or equivalent to operate/repair equipment as required by state/local regulation.
• State driver’s license with clean driving record per insurance mandates.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned maintenance duties and routine preventive maintenance.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in proper condition; notify supervisors for replacements.
• Assist with refurbishment projects and repairs.
• Complete work within scheduled time frame according to budget and priority by supervisor.
• Install, finish, repair, paint, remove and dispose of drywall or other material.
• Pick up and deliver supplies.
• Operate maintenance equipment including hand/power tools, company vehicles, or snow blowers.
