Job summary

National Church Residences in Xenia, OH is seeking a Maintenance Technician on site to perform general building maintenance, including carpentry, painting, and minor repairs, and to prepare vacants for move-in. You will supervise outside service personnel and respond to on-call emergencies.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of maintenance experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and basic computer skills. Valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• Education: Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: One to two years maintenance experience. Knowledge of janitorial equipment and maintenance procedures.
• Skills/Abilities: Good mechanical and problem solving abilities. Well organized with ability to work independently and coordinate with others. Working knowledge of computer or tablet software.

Responsibilities

• Maintains resident units and common areas, including carpentry and painting.
• Prepares vacant units for move-in, including painting, cleaning and carpet cleaning.
• Performs and arranges scheduled preventative maintenance and cleaning. Maintains logs and records.
• Maintains security systems, fire alarms, and door locks.
• Adheres to schedule and takes on-call duties as directed.
• Assists vendors and service providers as needed.
• Performs landscaping duties (lawn mowing, hedge trimming, bed maintenance).
• Cleans common areas and grounds, including trash removal.
• Maintains related maintenance records and reports.
