Job summary

National Church Residences in Columbus, Ohio, seeks a reliable Part-Time Maintenance Technician to service an apartment community. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general repairs to keep residents safe and comfortable.

The role requires on-call availability outside regular hours, with on-call duties evenings, weekends, and holidays. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. A monthly mobile phone allowance is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
• At least 1–2 years of residential, multifamily, or apartment maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair, and general building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems.
• Diagnose and complete maintenance repairs accurately and promptly.
• Respond professionally to resident service requests and maintenance emergencies.
• Maintain interior and exterior common areas to ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper appearance.
• Complete minor carpentry, painting, drywall, appliance, and general building repairs.
• Assist with apartment turnovers, inspections, and property improvement projects.
• Support or mentor other maintenance team members when applicable.
• Monitor supplies and equipment and assist with inventory management.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and reports.
• Follow all applicable safety procedures, building codes, and company policies.
