Job summary

Merrill Gardens at Hillsboro is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support our senior residents and keep the community in top condition. You will perform general maintenance, plumbing, electrical, painting, and HVAC tasks, ensuring safety and quality in common areas and apartments.

We value a dependable, hard-working individual with 1–3 years of related experience and a HS diploma. Evening/weekend availability is appreciated and benefits are provided for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years related maintenance experience or training.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting and carpentry tasks.
• Familiarity with MSDS and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance projects including plumbing and electrical work.
• Maintain walls, floors, doors, windows, and furniture in common areas.
• Repair vacated rooms, paint walls, and clean carpets as needed.
• Complete all work orders promptly and document safety issues.
