Job summary

Clearwater Beaverton, a premier luxury senior living community, seeks a Maintenance Director to oversee the community’s physical plant, ensure safety and comfort for residents, and supervise the Environmental Services department. The role focuses on inspections, vendor management, budget adherence, and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidate has 5–7 years in maintenance with supervisory experience and is skilled in driving cost efficiencies while upholding Clearwater standards and resident care.

Qualifications

• AA degree or Bachelor’s preferred.
• Five to seven years of maintenance experience in senior living, property management, hospitality, or related industry.
• Two to three years of supervisory experience.
• First Aid Certification preferred.
• Background clearances as required by regulations.
• TB health requirements must be met.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of property grounds, buildings, and equipment to ensure maintenance standards.
• Supervise the Environmental Services department and direct its programs and staff.
• Hire, supervise, and evaluate environmental service associates and enforce safety regulations.
• Develop performance standards and processes for maintenance.
• Conduct in-service classes for maintenance staff as necessary.
• Manage department budget, inventory, and supplies; track expenditures.
• Coordinate maintenance requests/logs for resident apartments and plan vendor work.
• Oversee outside vendors/contractors, secure bids, and schedule projects.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and safety training; manage emergency procedures.
• Maintain emergency vendor contacts for off-site support.
• Monitor regulatory compliance and report issues promptly.
• Represent Clearwater standards and core values daily.
