Westmont of Santa Cruz, a brand-new Assisted Living and Memory Care community, seeks a Maintenance Director to lead property upkeep and safety programs in California. You will oversee electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire safety systems and campus grounds, ensuring regulatory compliance and resident comfort.

Qualifications

Knowledge of state regulations, health laws, and OSHA regulations.
Basic knowledge of State Health and Safety Codes.
Experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire suppression, and emergency call systems.
Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking.
Able to perform basic maintenance such as painting, simple plumbing, carpet removal, and equipment repair.
Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs, stand/walk/reach for long periods.
Criminal background clearance prior to first presence in the community.
Must pass health screenings (Physical, TB, Drug test).
First aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Oversee maintenance operations and safety programs for the community.
Ensure compliance with state regulations, codes, and safety standards.
Manage maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, HVAC and safety systems.
