Job summary

The Esther at Riverbend Assisted Living in Oregon is seeking a Maintenance Director to oversee the maintenance, repairs, and safety compliance for our 24/7 senior living community. You will lead the physical plant operations, manage outside vendors, and ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety for residents and staff.

This role requires a high school diploma, at least two years as a maintenance supervisor, CPR/First Aid certification, and the ability to plan budgets, schedule staff, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years' hands-on experience as maintenance supervisor in multi-residence or similar setting.
• CPR and first aid certification current.
• Basic technical knowledge and mechanical ability for routine maintenance and repair.
• Knowledge of fire and safety regulations.
• Ability to work with outside vendors and monitor their work.
• English language proficiency required.
• On call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and communicate professionally with residents, families, and staff.
• Oversee day-to-day maintenance for a 24/7 senior living community.
• Manage operation of equipment, mechanical and grounds systems.
• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
• Ensure safety of residents and employees through regular grounds monitoring.
• Oversee housekeeping, staff scheduling, purchasing, budgeting.
• Coordinate Safety Committee meetings and document actions.
• Plan budgets and schedules for equipment, labor, and materials.
• Participate in new employee orientation and monthly in-services.
• Ensure privacy, respect, and dignity for residents.
• Handle on-call duties as needed.
• Maintain contracted services for elevators, HVAC, hot water, landscape and other operations.
