Job summary

Clearwater Mayo Blvd in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Maintenance Director to lead the Environmental Services department, ensure the physical plant and living spaces are safe, clean, and inviting for residents and staff, and coordinate daily operations with a spirit of teamwork.

The role requires five to seven years in maintenance with supervisory experience, budget management, and a strong focus on safety, regulatory compliance, and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• AA degree or Bachelor’s preferred or combination of education and experience supervising others in a senior living, property management or hospitality environment
• Minimum five to seven years of maintenance experience in senior living, property management, hospitality, or related industry
• Minimum two to three years of supervisory experience with budget management
• First Aid Certification preferred
• Background clearances as required by government regulations
• Must meet health requirements, including TB

Responsibilities

• Hire, supervise, and manage environmental service associates and ensure safety rules are followed
• Direct the Environmental Services department, plan and schedule programs and activities
• Coordinate maintenance requests, inspect property, and ensure equipment operability
• Manage outside vendors/contractors, obtain bids, schedule work and track expenditures
• Maintain budget and inventory, ensure regulatory compliance and safety procedures
• Assist maintenance staff and lead on emergency procedures and staff training
