Job summary

Clearwater Mayo Blvd, a premier luxury senior living community in Phoenix, AZ, seeks a Maintenance Director to lead the Environmental Services department and ensure a safe, comfortable, inviting environment for residents, families and staff. You will supervise maintenance staff, set standards, and coordinate daily operations with a spirit of teamwork and compliance.

Qualifications

• AA degree or Bachelor’s preferred.
• Minimum five to seven years of maintenance experience in senior living, property management, hospitality, or related industry.
• Minimum two to three years of supervisory experience to include training and supervising staff and developing and managing a budget.
• First Aid Certification preferred.
• Background clearances as required by government regulations.
• Must meet health requirements, including TB.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of property grounds, buildings, and periodic inspection of equipment, tools and supplies to ensure that Environmental service associates are completing assignments and property is presentable for tours.
• Manage the Environmental Services department, plan, develop, organize, schedule, evaluate and direct programs and activities with teamwork and open communication.
• Hire, supervise, and manage performance of environmental service associates and ensure safety regulations are followed.
• Develop performance standards and processes for maintenance functions; conduct in-service classes for maintenance staff.
• Manage department within budgetary guidelines; track inventory and ordering of supplies; oversee vendor management and bidding.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and report issues; maintain OSHA, MSDS awareness and safety practices.
