Job summary

The Aspenwood Company in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced maintenance supervisor to oversee operations in a senior living community. You will supervise maintenance and housekeeping staff, manage preventive maintenance, and ensure timely completion of work orders.

You will coordinate with contractors, maintain safety standards, and oversee make-readies for vacant rooms while keeping building systems operational. HVAC certification and 5+ years as a maintenance technician are required.

Qualifications

• Five+ years as a Maintenance Technician with supervisory experience preferred.
• HVAC certified and familiar with building systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance staff and housekeeping, including hiring, discipline, assessment, and termination of direct reports.
• Coordinate staff schedules to ensure all functions are staffed.
• Manage maintenance requests and log job orders through completion.
• Oversee building systems: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and kitchen equipment.
• Coordinate external contractors and manage make-ready of vacant rooms.
• Ensure compliance with safety codes and perform OSHA-related tasks.
• Provide 24-hour emergency maintenance service as needed.
