Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a Kitchen Utility Associate (Dishwasher) in a senior living community to ensure clean pots and dishware for meal service. You will support the culinary team by maintaining a sanitary, efficient dish area and by replenishing supplies as meals are prepared.

The position requires the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work flexible shifts, including weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred but not required.
• Food Handler Card a plus.
• 6–12 months of dishwasher/kitchen support experience is a plus.
• Experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality is desirable.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Dry and store cleaned items properly.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area (sweeping/mopping floors).
• Remove trash, recycling, and food waste to keep the kitchen organized.
• Clean mats and garbage pails; sanitize surfaces as needed.
• Support kitchen staff during meal prep and service by replenishing supplies.
• Resupply chemicals, towels, and soap dispensers for sanitary operations.
