Job summary

Woodlands in Huntington, WV seeks a full-time Cook/Line Server to prepare and present meals that are nutritious, palatable, and visually appealing for residents and guests. You will support the dietary staff, coordinate with meal times, and help ensure quality dining experiences.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to sanitation rules, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Prior kitchen or dietary services experience is preferred, with a High School diploma encouraged.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math for tray counting
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions

• Interpret and explain menus to residents and staff
• Interact effectively with residents, guests, and staff

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion food following standard recipes and diet orders
• Plan production to align with meal serving times
• Maintain sanitation and personal hygiene standards in the kitchen
• Keep work areas clean and equipment clean and maintained
• Greet residents warmly and serve meals promptly
• Assist dietary aides and supervisors as needed
