Job summary

The Vineyards | California Armenian Home is seeking a dedicated Cook to prepare meals for our senior residents in Fresno, upholding hospitality standards and on-time service.

In a fast-paced kitchen, you will follow recipes, monitor food quality, and assist with training new kitchen staff while supporting the culinary team under the Chef/Sous Chef.

This role requires reliability, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols to deliver a warm, dignified dining experience for residents.

Qualifications

• Three years of professional cooking experience in a restaurant setting.
• Current ServSafe Food Handler certificate.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food items using recipes that exceed hospitality and service standards.
• Determine food and supplies needed and coordinate meal production with serving hours.
• Monitor all food items to see that the guidelines for temperature, taste and quality are upheld at all times.
• Exceed standards of appearance, cleanliness, hygiene, and health standards.
• Assist with orientation and training of new kitchen associates.
• Practice all safety and loss prevention procedures.
• Attend all in-services as required.
• Responsible for following all local, state and federal policies regarding food handling.
• Assist with proper documents of temperature logs, taste panel forms, and cleaning schedules.
• Opportunity to cook for multiple dining venues.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
