Job summary

Vitality seeks a Kitchen Assistant to support dining operations for residents and visitors. You will wash, prepare, and store dishes, help serve meals, and maintain clean, organized kitchen areas.

You must be at least 17, able to communicate in English, and follow safety procedures. Training will be provided, and you’ll work under the culinary team to ensure a high-quality dining experience. The role also requires lifting up to 50 lbs and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years old.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
• Maintain food handler permit as required by state regulations.
• Meet state health-related requirements.
• Follow state/county regulations and facility policies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, wash, and store dishes.
• Clean and sanitize dishwashing area.
• Complete Dishwasher Temperature Log at required times.
• Assist with serving meals and setting tables.
• Assist with bussing tables and delivering kitchen supplies.
• Dispose of trash and maintain clean workspaces.
• Adhere to safety protocols and report unsafe conditions.
