Job summary

Responsibilities include monitoring temperatures, minimizing waste, and participating in staff training and in-services. Flexible evenings/weekends required; Serv-Safe certification or completion within 60 days is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in dining services.
• Must be Serv-Safe certified, or willing to complete certification within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to read, write, and perform simple calculations.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to approved menus and recipes.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area at all times.
• Supervise dietary staff in absence of Dining Services Director.
• Monitor and control temperatures and food safety, and report faulty equipment.
• Attend required in-service and staff meetings.
• Assist in training new dietary employees.
