Qualifications

• Must have excellent verbal skills and communication abilities.

• Must know how to operate kitchen equipment and use utensils to greatest advantage.
• Ability to follow diet instructions and menus, know basic methods of preparing food in quantities.

Responsibilities

• Attends daily production meetings, tasting and menu classes to understand upcoming meal production.
• Prepares hot and cold food items according to menus, sheets, and recipes.
• Prepares food for transportation to dining areas per safe handling practices.
• Instructs servers on proper handling, storage, portioning, plating, and serving.
• Assists with labeling and storing bulk food and supplies, and with inventories.
• Keeps work area clean and assists with shift closing and cleaning tasks.
• Attends in-service training and professional development activities.
